Welcome Message
The Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame was established in 2006 by a group of county athletic directors and community members who wanted to honor past athletes and others who have achieved excellence in sports. Along with recognizing athletic accomplishments, the Hall of Fame created a scholarship fund to support Crawford County student-athletes pursuing higher education.

In 2007, the Hall of Fame became an incorporated non-profit organization, making all contributions tax-deductible. Serving a community of approximately 42,000 residents, the Hall of Fame represents a collaborative effort among our local schools and provides a sense of pride in working together for the common good of Crawford County, Ohio. Each year, we host fundraising events to support our scholarship fund and cover expenses for our annual Hall of Fame Induction Banquet held in the spring.

In the fall of 2016, we entered into an agreement with the Crawford County Board of Mental Health to lease space in the Trillium Event Center. In November 2017, this space was dedicated in honor of Gerald Straley, a 2010 inductee and generous benefactor who played a key role in helping us create a permanent home for our inductee plaques.

To date, the Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame has awarded 51 scholarships (as of 2025) and continues to build its scholarship fund to support future student-athletes.

Our scholarship is administered through the Community Foundation for Crawford County and online applications may be made in the early spring at http://www.cfcrawford.org/. Contributions to the Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame may be sent to P.O. Box 313.Crestline, Ohio 44827.
