Welcome to Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame

 

The Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame was created in 2006 by several county athletic directors and others interested in creating a hall of fame to honor past athletes and those who have outstanding achievement in sports. The Crawford County Hall of Fame also created a scholarship fund to award Crawford County student athletes with money to help pay fora college education.

The Hall of Fame became incorporated as a non-profit organization in 2007 and all contributions to the Hall of Fame are tax deductible. We strive to serve our community of approximately 45.000 people. The Hall of Fame gives us a great sense of accomplishment and is an example of our schools working together for the common good of Crawford County, Ohio. Each year the Crawford County Hall of Fame conducts fundraising events. All proceeds go to fund our scholarship effort and expenses for our Hall of Fame Induction Banquet held in the spring.

In the fall of 2016, we entered into an agreement with the Crawford County Board of Mental Health, to lease space in the Trillium Event Center. In November 2017, we dedicated the space, in the name of Gerald Straley, a 2010 Inductee and benefactor to our hall of fame, who immensely helped us further our mission to create a special space to house our Inductee plaques. In the meantime, we are building our scholarship fund. We have given out 29 scholarships, so far.
